Following OIPA ETS’ formal intervention with Chinese authorities, a new petition calls for stronger legislation to protect animals from cruelty. Add your voice and help turn outrage into action.

The tragic story of Wang Wang, a stray mother dog brutally killed alongside her three puppies in Jieyang, Guangdong Province, China, sparked widespread international outrage and renewed urgent calls for stronger animal protection legislation.

According to reports, four minors were allegedly responsible for acts of extreme violence against the animals, including the killing of the puppies and the torture and burning of their mother. The incident was filmed and circulated online, prompting condemnation from animal welfare advocates around the world.

Today, Wang Wang’s story continues to inspire international mobilisation, with thousands of people supporting a petition demanding concrete legislative action to prevent similar acts of cruelty.

OIPA ETS’ Previous Intervention

In July 2026, following more than 100 reports and appeals received from concerned citizens worldwide, OIPA formally intervened by addressing the competent Chinese authorities and diplomatic representations through official correspondence.

In its communication, OIPA called for transparency regarding the measures adopted in response to the incident, including appropriate educational, psychological and preventive interventions concerning the minors involved.

Above all, OIPA urged the Chinese authorities to strengthen the country’s legal framework by introducing clear provisions against the deliberate torture, serious abuse and unjustified killing of companion and stray animals.

The organisation also highlighted the urgent need to address the recording, circulation and commercialisation of animal cruelty videos, as well as the importance of educational initiatives promoting empathy, responsibility and respect for animals.

OIPA ETS has sent formal letters to the competent Turkish authorities and institutional bodies, calling for dialogue and further information regarding the management and welfare of stray dogs in Türkiye.

In recent months, OIPA has received communications from citizens and animal protection advocates expressing concerns about the conditions in which stray dogs are being collected, transported and accommodated in certain areas of the country.

Some of the reports received have raised questions regarding shelter conditions, animal welfare during capture and transportation, and the fate of dogs following their removal from the streets.

In response to these concerns, OIPA has formally contacted the relevant Turkish institutions, including the authorities responsible for animal protection and stray animal management, while also bringing the matter to the attention of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Rome.

The initiative is intended to promote a constructive and institutional dialogue and to obtain further information regarding the practical implementation of the current legal framework and the measures adopted to safeguard animal welfare.

OIPA recognises the complexity of managing large populations of stray animals and the responsibilities of public authorities and municipalities in protecting public health and safety. At the same time, the organisation considers it essential that the measures adopted ensure appropriate standards of animal welfare and minimise fear, stress and unnecessary suffering.

Through its communications, OIPA has drawn attention to several key aspects, including appropriate capture and transportation procedures, veterinary assistance and shelter conditions, animal registration and traceability, monitoring and inspection mechanisms, and compliance with the safeguards established by law.

The organisation has also highlighted the importance of strengthening preventive and sustainable approaches, including sterilisation, vaccination, identification, responsible ownership and adoption programmes.

OIPA believes that cooperation between public institutions, municipalities, veterinary professionals, civil society and animal protection organisations can play an important role in developing effective and long-term solutions.

The organisation has therefore requested further information and available official data from the competent authorities and remains open to constructive dialogue and cooperation with Turkish institutions and local stakeholders.

On 26 September 2026, the Stara Zagora Zoo hosted “Chudo and Ved – Little Stories for Big Hearts”, a special educational event dedicated to animal welfare, empathy and responsible attitudes towards animals and nature.

The initiative was organised in collaboration with the Stara Zagora Zoo, children’s author Iva Katsarova, Amabili Association, and OIPA Bulgaria, bringing together children and families for a day of learning, creativity and direct interaction with animals.

The event was inspired by the book “Chudo and Ved – Little Stories for Big Hearts” by Iva Katsarova, whose stories encourage young readers to develop compassion, kindness and respect for animals. Chudo and Ved, the real dogs who inspired the characters in the book, were also present during the event, giving children the opportunity to meet them in person.

Following the presentation and reading of the book, OIPA Bulgaria introduced participants to the international work of OIPA, explaining its global commitment to animal protection and the importance of advocating for stronger legislation and policies to safeguard animals.

A particular focus was placed on showing children what animal protection means in practice: from rescuing animals in need and providing them with appropriate care, to helping them find responsible and permanent homes.

Learning about animal protection through play

The initiative was mainly addressed to children and their parents, with the aim of introducing the principles of responsible animal care from an early age.

Through games and creative activities, children were encouraged to approach animal welfare in an engaging and accessible way. They could colour animal-themed drawings, create smiling dog origami and participate in the “Kindness Chart”, where each child could leave the imprint of their hand and write the name of an animal they cared about.

The presence of Chudo and Ved made the experience even more engaging, allowing the children to interact directly with the dogs through cuddles, play and affection while learning about respect and responsible behaviour towards animals.

Around 80 people actively participated in the activities, while approximately 500 visitors were present at the zoo throughout the day.

For OIPA Bulgaria, working with children is particularly important because attitudes towards animals begin to develop at a very young age. Educational initiatives such as this can help build a culture based on empathy and respect, teaching future generations that protecting animals is also part of our responsibility towards the world around us.

Supporting stray cats through the charity market

A charity market was also organised during the event to support animal protection activities. All funds raised will be used to finance the sterilisation of stray cats, contributing to the humane management of the local stray population.

The day combined education and solidarity, showing families how even simple actions can make a concrete difference for animals.

As the message shared during the event reminds us:

“Together, we make the world a better place to live.”

OIPA ETS is supporting the dissemination of European Citizens’ Initiative ECI(2026)000003, which aims to strengthen the protection of stray dogs, stray cats and animals living in shelters through areas in which the European Union has the competence to act.

Across Europe and beyond, many stray dogs and cats continue to face abandonment, inadequate access to veterinary care, poor shelter conditions and, in some contexts, the risk of being killed instead of being protected through long-term and humane population-management strategies.

European Citizens’ Initiative ECI(2026)000003 – “EU initiative to protect stray dogs, stray cats and animals in shelters in the EU/non-EU countries” was launched to bring these concerns to the attention of the European institutions and to call for stronger action at EU level.

The European Commission partially registered the initiative on 10 February 2026, allowing the collection of statements of support for those objectives that fall within the competences of the European Union.

In particular, the initiative calls for EU action concerning animal shelters housing cats and dogs when those shelters participate in the Union market, as well as measures addressing the use of animals for scientific purposes, including stray and shelter animals.

It also seeks stronger animal-welfare safeguards in the European Union’s relations with third countries. The organisers are asking for minimum standards for the protection of stray dogs and cats to be considered in international trade or association agreements and for access to EU funding to be made conditional on compliance with such standards.

At the heart of the initiative is the call for a more sustainable and humane approach to stray animal management.

Neutering and vaccination programmes, access to veterinary care, safe accommodation and responsible adoption are essential tools for addressing stray animal populations. However, individual measures cannot work in isolation. Sterilising an animal, for example, cannot provide lasting protection if that same animal may later be captured, confined in unsuitable conditions or killed.

Effective protection requires long-term strategies combining prevention, veterinary care, responsible shelter management, monitoring and lasting safeguards for animals once they are removed from the streets.

The situation in Romania

Among the cases highlighted by the organisers is the situation in Romania, including that of the Golești facility.

According to information shared with OIPA  by the organisers of the initiative, 28 dogs were killed at the Golești facility on 10 February 2026 and another 22 dogs on 11 February.

In the months that followed, animal rescuers worked to save as many remaining dogs as possible. According to the initiative’s rescue coordination team, approximately 227 dogs had been rescued by the end of September 2026.

The organisers, together with Tierversuchsgegner e. V., also report having provided financial support for veterinary treatment, accommodation, care and rescue activities.

These figures have been communicated to OIPA International by the organisers and the organisations involved in the rescue effort.

The case illustrates a broader concern: managing stray animal populations cannot rely only on emergency interventions. Sustainable solutions require prevention, long-term protection, effective animal-welfare standards and adequate systems of care.

Why EU action matters

The European Citizens’ Initiative also draws attention to the role that European policies, funding and international cooperation can play in promoting better standards for animal protection.

Within the areas where the European Union has the legal competence to act, the initiative seeks to ensure that EU mechanisms contribute to better protection rather than allowing practices that may expose stray and shelter animals to avoidable suffering.

Linking EU funding and international cooperation to minimum, verifiable standards could encourage more sustainable approaches based on prevention, veterinary assistance and responsible management.

The initiative also asks the European institutions to address the use of stray and shelter animals for scientific purposes, another area specifically included among the objectives accepted for registration by the European Commission.

Citizens can make their voices heard

A European Citizens’ Initiative is an official EU instrument that allows citizens to invite the European Commission to consider proposing legislation in areas where the European Union has the power to act.

To be submitted successfully to the Commission, an initiative must collect at least one million valid statements of support, while also reaching the required minimum thresholds in at least seven EU Member States.

If these requirements are met, the European Commission must formally examine the initiative and provide an official response on the action it intends to take.

OIPA  therefore invites European citizens to learn more about ECI(2026)000003 and, if they share its objectives, to support the initiative through the official European Citizens’ Initiative platform.

Protecting stray dogs, stray cats and animals in shelters requires long-term commitment, responsible policies and solutions based on prevention, care and effective animal-welfare safeguards.

Stray and shelter animals need lasting protection, not temporary solutions.

OIPA International has formally addressed the competent Jordanian authorities regarding the situation of a substantial number of free-roaming dogs currently present in remote desert areas around Safawi, in Mafraq Governorate.

Over recent weeks, OIPA has received and cross-checked audiovisual material, testimonies and information from multiple local sources and animal-welfare organizations active in Jordan.

The documentation available to OIPA indicates that a significant, although difficult-to-quantify, number of dogs are living across a vast desert area where access to water, food and routine veterinary assistance is extremely limited.

Particular concern has been raised by reports suggesting that free-roaming dogs may have been removed from urban and residential areas and transported to remote locations.

OIPA has therefore asked the Jordanian authorities to clarify whether such relocations form part of any officially authorised dog-population management policy, which authorities are responsible for them and under which legal, veterinary and animal-welfare framework they are carried out.

Another major concern relates to access to water. According to information received by OIPA, attempts had been made to establish a more stable water supply for the dogs in Safawi, but the installation was reportedly required to be removed. OIPA has requested official clarification on the circumstances surrounding this decision and has urged the authorities to facilitate safe access to drinking water for the animals currently present in the area.

Humane and sustainable solutions are needed

OIPA fully recognises the complexity of managing free-roaming dog populations and the need to protect communities from rabies, zoonotic diseases and other public-safety concerns.

However, moving animals to remote areas where their basic needs cannot be guaranteed risks exposing them to dehydration, starvation, disease and preventable suffering, while failing to address the causes of the problem.

For this reason, OIPA is calling for a One Health approach, combining public health, animal health and environmental considerations.

The organization is encouraging the expansion of humane and sustainable measures including rabies vaccination, sterilisation, veterinary care, epidemiological surveillance, responsible ownership, prevention of abandonment and cooperation with local communities and animal-welfare organizations.

Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return programmes are already being implemented by animal-welfare organizations in parts of Jordan, despite limited resources, demonstrating the importance of investing in preventive and long-term population-management strategies.

OIPA has asked the competent authorities to review the reported relocations, ensure that dogs are not transferred to areas where their basic welfare needs cannot be met, guarantee reliable access to water and emergency assistance, and strengthen vaccination, sterilisation and veterinary programmes.

OIPA International remains available for constructive dialogue with Jordanian authorities and relevant stakeholders to support humane, evidence-based and sustainable solutions capable of protecting public health, community safety and animal welfare together.

HELP THE ANIMALS AFFECTED BY FLOODS IN NEPAL!

Devastating floods and mudslides have left animals injured, displaced and without food. OIPA’s Member League Voice of Animal Nepal is mobilising to help them survive.

Homes have been swept away. Roads and bridges have collapsed. Entire communities have been buried under mud and debris.

And amid this devastation, countless animals have disappeared.

Livestock have been swept away or trapped in the mud. Dogs and cats have fled in terror, becoming separated from the people who care for them. The animals that survived are frightened, hungry and exposed to injuries and disease.

They urgently need our help.

OIPA ETS  is launching an international emergency appeal in support of its Member League Voice of Animal Nepal (VOAN), which is preparing to rescue, treat and feed animals affected by the disaster.

A DISASTER FAR WORSE THAN PHOTOS CAN SHOW

VOAN’s emergency team travelled to Nuwakot to assess the situation and identify the most urgent needs of animals and affected communities.

Vast areas were covered by mud, silt and debris. Homes, schools and public buildings were severely damaged or partially buried. Settlements around Trishuli, Dhunge Bazaar and Devighat suffered extensive destruction, with buildings swept away or left dangerously exposed by riverbank erosion.

Rasuwa, one of the worst-affected districts, remains inaccessible by road because access routes have been destroyed or have collapsed.

oipa cameroon

ANIMALS ARE THE INVISIBLE VICTIMS OF THIS EMERGENCY

The full impact on animals cannot yet be measured.

Many livestock animals are believed to have drowned, been buried beneath the mud or become separated from their owners. Surviving animals have lost access to pasture, stored feed and clean water.

Community dogs and cats have scattered into unfamiliar areas after fleeing the floodwaters. Many are frightened and severely traumatised. Some dogs encountered by VOAN’s team were too terrified to allow rescuers to approach them.

At this stage, many areas remain inaccessible and animals continue to be dispersed throughout the disaster zone. For this reason, VOAN will not release unverified casualty figures.

What is already clear, however, is that animals are suffering and urgent action is needed.

WHAT THE EMERGENCY TEAM WILL DO

The emergency team will work to:

  • Locate, rescue and safely transport animals in danger;
  • Reach communities that are currently cut off by mud and floodwater;
  • Provide emergency veterinary treatment and essential medicines;
  • Distribute food and clean water to displaced dogs and cats;
  • Deliver emergency feed to surviving livestock;
  • Create temporary safe spaces for injured and displaced animals;
  • Vaccinate animals against rabies and prevent the spread of disease;
  • Reunite rescued animals with their families whenever possible;
  • Help vulnerable families continue caring for their animals;
  • Assess animal-health and public-health risks;
  • Coordinate with communities and local authorities on longer-term recovery.

HOW YOUR DONATION WILL HELP

VOAN organization needs USD 15,000–20,000 to support its emergency response during the first 60 days and assist approximately 200–250 animals.

Your donation will help provide:

Animal rescue and safe transportation;

Veterinary treatment, medicines and medical supplies;

Food and clean water for displaced animals;

Emergency feed for livestock;

Temporary shelter and protection;

Rabies vaccination and disease prevention;

Essential equipment and field-response costs.

HELP ANIMALS IN NEPAL!

These animals have survived floods, mudslides and the destruction of their homes. Now they urgently need food, treatment and protection.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will help VOAN’s team reach an animal in need and support a family struggling to recover.

More than 20 years of rescue work and advocacy have shaped Tatiana’s journey from volunteer to international representative

OIPA ETS is pleased to welcome Tatiana Zlatova as its new representative in Bulgaria, strengthening its presence and animal protection activities in the country.

Tatiana’s story began more than 20 years ago with a single animal in need. What started as a personal decision to help gradually became a lifelong commitment to abandoned, injured and vulnerable animals.

For Tatiana, animal protection is not simply a profession, but a personal responsibility and a choice she has continued to make every day for more than two decades.

A life dedicated to animals

Tatiana has volunteered for more than 18 years at the municipal shelter for stray dogs in Kazanlak, central Bulgaria. There, she has witnessed first-hand the consequences of abandonment, uncontrolled breeding and overcrowded shelters.

Over the years, she has provided food, transportation and veterinary care to abandoned, sick and injured animals, while working to find them safe and responsible homes. Thanks to her dedication and that of the volunteers alongside her, hundreds of dogs and cats have been rescued and adopted.

Her commitment has never been limited to companion animals. As a member of the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds, Tatiana has also helped rescue wild birds and other animals in distress, including swallows, pigeons and coots.

These experiences shaped her broader understanding of animal protection: helping animals also means defending wildlife, biodiversity and natural habitats.

From individual rescues to lasting change

After years spent responding to emergencies one animal at a time, Tatiana came to an important realisation: rescue work is essential, but it cannot solve the problem on its own.

Lasting change also requires action to prevent abandonment, promote spaying and neutering, educate communities, improve legislation and hold those responsible for animal cruelty accountable.

This conviction led Tatiana to establish Amabili – Safe Home for Stray Animals in April 2025. Based in Kazanlak, the non-profit organisation grew out of more than 20 years of practical experience and was created to transform individual action into a coordinated and collective effort.

Through Amabili, Tatiana brought together people who share the same vision: a home for every animal.

Her approach combines immediate assistance with long-term prevention. Animals in distress need protection, veterinary care and safe homes, but future suffering must also be prevented through responsible animal guardianship, sterilisation, identification and public education.

Giving a voice to animals in Bulgaria

Stray animals, overcrowded municipal shelters, abandonment and uncontrolled breeding remain widespread problems in Bulgaria. Wild animals are also frequently left outside existing protection systems, with badgers, foxes, hedgehogs, tortoises and birds often injured or killed on roads.

Tatiana is determined to ensure that these animals are not forgotten. Her work connects the protection of individual animals with the wider defence of wildlife and biodiversity.

Recently, Tatiana and Amabili joined the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds in a successful campaign opposing the construction of a wind farm in the Krumovitsa area of the Eastern Rhodopes. The proposed development risked threatening exceptionally rare vulture species and their habitat.

The campaign demonstrated what cooperation, public mobilisation and determined advocacy can achieve for vulnerable species.

Beyond rescue

Tatiana believes that society’s relationship with animals can only change through education and community involvement.

She has promoted charitable and educational initiatives involving local residents, farmers and children. Through cooperation with Stara Zagora Zoo, citizens and agricultural producers have been encouraged to donate surplus fruit and vegetables suitable for the animals living there.

Tatiana and her fellow volunteers have also organised charity markets to collect food, medicines and funds for veterinary treatment and animals housed at the municipal shelter. During these events, children take part in creative activities designed to encourage empathy, respect and responsibility towards animals.

Her commitment also extends to legal advocacy. Tatiana has reported cases of animal cruelty and the deliberate killing of stray animals to the competent authorities. She also supports initiatives calling for stronger penalties for animal abuse, improved animal protection legislation, greater safeguards for wildlife and the establishment of a national animal protection agency in Bulgaria.

A new chapter with OIPA

Becoming OIPA’s representative in Bulgaria marks the next step in Tatiana’s journey.

In this voluntary role, she will help expand OIPA’s presence in the country by developing joint campaigns and initiatives in cooperation with the international organisation. Her extensive knowledge of local challenges will be combined with the experience, visibility and good practices of OIPA’s global network.

Together, OIPA and Tatiana aim to promote spaying, neutering and animal identification campaigns; prevent abandonment; develop educational initiatives; strengthen cooperation among organisations, municipalities, shelters and veterinary professionals; and improve the protection of wildlife.

Tatiana’s goal is not simply to rescue more animals, but to help create a future in which fewer animals are abandoned, abused or left without protection.

As OIPA’s new representative in Bulgaria, she will continue giving animals a voice and bringing people together around a clear vision:

A home for every animal. Care for every living being. Responsibility from every person.

A new chapter in the fight against stray animal population has begun in San Michele Salentino, in the province of Brindisi, southern Italy. At the heart of this progress is OIPA Italy, whose local volunteers have worked alongside institutions to promote a humane, preventive and community-based approach to protecting animals living on the streets.

The opening of the new municipal veterinary shelter will make it possible to sterilise stray dogs and cats, addressing one of the main causes of the problem: uncontrolled reproduction. Preventing new litters means reducing the number of animals destined to be born on the streets, exposed to hunger, disease, accidents and abandonment.

However, OIPA knows that sterilisation alone cannot solve the problem. Animals also need safe places in which to recover, receive care and wait for a permanent family. For this reason, the Municipality of San Michele Salentino, the Local Police and OIPA’s Brindisi section have launched “Una Famiglia per Fido” – “A Family for Fido”.

OIPA Mobilises the Local Community

Through the project, OIPA is calling on residents to offer temporary foster care to dogs waiting to be adopted.

The appeal also extends to people who can temporarily welcome cats following sterilisation, allowing them to recover safely after surgery. Once recovered, the cats may be adopted or returned to their feline colony when their temperament and welfare needs make a free-roaming life in their familiar environment more appropriate.

Temporary foster care is a crucial bridge between life on the streets and adoption. It prevents vulnerable animals from being left without protection and gives volunteers valuable time to find the right family for each of them.

OIPA will stand alongside those who choose to help. Through its pet food donation drives, the organisation will provide food for the animals in foster care, offering concrete support to the families who open their homes and devote their time to an animal in need.

This practical commitment reflects OIPA Italy’s wider mission: not only raising awareness, but also building solutions, supporting volunteers and creating cooperation between citizens and public institutions.

From Individual Help to a Network for Animals

San Michele Salentino is also launching the “Amici degli Animali” – “Friends of Animals” label, designed to recognise the people and organisations that make a concrete contribution to the project.

Families, shops, companies, accommodation providers, associations and professionals will be able to join the initiative and become part of a local network united by a shared commitment to animal protection.

The label will be a visible sign of responsibility and solidarity towards animals. Those taking part will also be promoted through the communication channels of the Municipality and OIPA, helping to spread a culture of responsible care throughout the community.

By involving different sectors of society, OIPA aims to show that protecting stray animals is not the responsibility of volunteers alone. It is a collective commitment that requires institutions, residents and local businesses to work together.

An OIPA-Led Experience That Can Inspire Other Municipalities

The initiative represents an important example of how OIPA Italy’s experience and local presence can help transform institutional progress into concrete action for animals.

The combination of sterilisation, temporary foster care, support for host families and public recognition of animal-friendly citizens and businesses offers a structured and humane model for tackling stray animal population.

It is a model that could be replicated by other municipal administrations across Italy, strengthening collaboration with animal protection organisations and replacing emergency responses with prevention, planning and shared responsibility.

“The launch of this project is a great source of satisfaction and the result of years of commitment and teamwork between animal welfare organisations and institutions. We hope that many residents will open their homes to a dog or cat without a family while they wait to be adopted. If our citizens understand that eliminating stray animal populations can also foster new forms of economic development, I believe that pursuing this path will benefit everyone. We are confident.”

COLOMBIA IN FLAMES: HELP ANIMALS AFFECTED BY THE WILDFIRES

More than 22,000 hectares have been affected by devastating wildfires in Tolima. Animals living in rural communities urgently need food, water and veterinary care. Help OIPA’s member league Fundación Colombia Choca la Pata reach them.

Throughout August 2026, relentless wildfires have swept across the department of Tolima, burning forests, farmland and vast rural areas.

The scale of the disaster forced the departmental government to declare a state of public calamity.

Satellite analysis has identified more than 22,000 hectares of vegetation affected across 28 municipalities, with Ortega, San Luis, Guamo, Coyaima, Chaparral and Coello among the worst-hit areas.

Behind these numbers lies a devastating reality.

The fires have destroyed natural habitats, pastures, crops and food reserves on which animals and rural communities depend. In some areas, families have lost the resources they need to continue feeding and caring for their animals.

ANIMALS NEED HELP EVEN AFTER THE FLAMES ARE EXTINGUISHED

The destruction left behind by the flames can mean no pasture, no stored food, limited access to clean water and no veterinary assistance.

Dogs living with vulnerable rural families, community dogs, cats and displaced animals may be left without the basic resources they need to survive. Cattle, horses, pigs and other farm animals are also at risk as grazing land and animal food supplies disappear.

The consequences of this emergency will continue long after the last fires have been extinguished.

What is already clear is that help is urgently needed.

AN EMERGENCY TEAM IS PREPARING TO REACH THEM

From 2 to 4 September 2026, OIPA’s member league Fundación Colombia Choca la Pata will deploy an emergency team to Tolima to bring direct assistance to animals in affected rural communities.

Veterinary professionals, members of the Foundation and volunteers will travel with food, medicines and essential animal-care supplies.

The mission is expected to prioritize communities in and around:

  • San Luis;
  • Guamo;
  • Coello;
  • Guaimaral;
  • Other affected rural areas identified as urgent upon arrival.

The team’s priority is clear: ensure that assistance reaches the animals directly.

WHAT THE EMERGENCY TEAM WILL DO

According to the needs identified in each community, the team will:

  • Distribute food for dogs and cats;
  • Provide feed, hay and forage for cattle, horses, pigs and other animals;
  • Supply mineralized salt for livestock where necessary;
  • Carry out general veterinary assessments;
  • Provide basic wound care and medicines;
  • Administer deworming and flea and tick treatments;
  • Offer supportive veterinary treatment;
  • Help provide access to water and essential animal-care supplies;
  • Identify animals requiring hospitalization or more complex treatment;
  • Coordinate referrals and continued veterinary care for serious cases.

The Foundation will work with local caregivers, veterinary professionals and partner organizations to ensure that the most serious cases are not abandoned once the initial intervention ends.

HOW YOUR DONATION WILL HELP

All funds raised through this emergency appeal will be used exclusively to assist animals affected by the Tolima wildfires and to support the field mission and subsequent follow-up activities.

Animal food: dog and cat food, livestock feed, hay and other forage;
